Funding for the P.E. and sport premium
The PE and Sport Premium is additional funding provided by the Department for Education to help primary schools ensure their pupils have access to at least 30 minutes exercise during the school day. Winterbourne Junior Girls’ School uses its grant to try and engage all of its pupils in regular physical activity by:
- Providing a wide range of non-mainstream tasters to involve and encourage the least active/competitive children
- Encouraging active play during break times and lunchtimes
- Supporting after school sport clubs and activities and broadening the variety on offer
- Support our daily mile initiative
